Visited on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 with my girlfriend.

We did this short but interesting loop in the evening, a bit closer to the sunset closing time of the park than we had intended thanks to an extended detour attempting (and failing) to take the Parkers Cable Ferry outside of Como. We had originally wanted to do Lassiter Trail, but decided to do the shorter trail in order to make it to supper in time.

The trail starts at the boat launch and rental area, which offers a pretty and open view into the surrounding swamp. From there, the trail dots in and out of marshes and swamps which speckle the park.

After crossing the road, you follow a short ridgeline and briefly leave the swamps. Don't be dismayed, though -- they'll be back soon enough!

There was a boardwalk a good bit of the way into the trail, but sadly, it was submerged, at appears to have been for quite some time. We opted not to venture out on it.
