I did this hike January 1st, 2023, with my family and my girlfriend. It was a moderately challenging and rigorous loop which featured Juney Whank Falls, among other popular features in the Deep Gap area.

We started the loop heading west, hitting Juney Whank Falls first.

From there, we continued clockwise around the loop.

After quite a length of peaceful greenery, we joined the Deep Creek Trail, which followed Deep Creek. We spent quite some time there crawling around on some rocks and a fallen log.

After following the creek for about a mile, we crossed. This spot seemed about as good as any, so we stopped for a quick lunch before continuing on down the trail. From there, we continued down along Indian Creek.

After about 3/4 of a mile, we reconnected with Deep Creek, where we saw Tom Branch Falls.
