I hiked this trail on October 24th, 2020.
Soco Falls is located right on the easternmost corner of the Cherokee Nation, right along US-19, Soco Road or Wolfetown Road, depending upon whether you're coming from the east or the west. As a warning, I was there on a rainy day and the trail remained busy nonetheless; it is a popular trial regardless of weather.
The hike itself is short but not for inexperienced hikers. Though the first bit is a fairly manageable gravel path, after the viewing platform (whose view is mostly obscured by trees) the trail becomes steep and slick and muddy; a series of tree roots and a rope offer some help to intrepid hikers, but not much.
A map is not necessary for this hike.
